Leather Shorts and Tights

I am loving this look and trend of leather shorts right now. I styled these shorts bare legged when it was a bit warmer out, and then now with fun tights. These are the Gucci tights from last year that I believe are sold out everywhere… except now I’m seeing people making them for half the price on Etsy, so I suppose you could try those. Mine are real and I really like a patterned tight like this. You can do this with any pattern, it doesn’t have to be designer.

Leather Shorts and Tights

Faux leather shorts are very in right now and will be this winter season. There are also a few faux leather skirts and dresses that I’m seeing too, so it looks like this fabric is here to stay this season. I typically gravitate towards shorts and pants rather than dresses and skirts, so if you need to be able to move a little more freely, these are for you.

This Marie Oliver jacket is extremely well made and such a cute jacket to have. I have realized that I love owning and holding onto items just like this. Great fit and materials, and special fabrics and details. This will be one that I’ll keep in my closet and pull out often. And I don’t even like orange, but really liked this jacket, and the color works for fall right now anyway.

Elston came along this shoot day. She dressed up and brought other dress ‘options to be just like mommy’. It was the sweet thing ever. She took forever loading her stuff in the car and changing, and I was getting frustrated since it’s a lot to do photos and takes long anyway… and then I realized how lucky I am. She wants to be just like me but in her own way, and I’ve been thinking about that since we took these photos. I just love who she is.
