Styling Spring: Sur la table event recap

It should be no secret that Sur la table knows how to throw a party. Look at all their product details in the store. Not only is it pretty much chic kitchen and dinnerware, the decor for dressing up your own house is always carefully thought out and styled. The pieces are on trend and always has something for everyone. If you are a bright and colorful decor person, they have it. If you are neutrals and classic, they definitely have it! So I knew they had to tools to throw a great spring soiree, but they also have the team to back it up! Our event was a great success with the elements of upbeat music, organized stations of delicious little snacks, such a warm and friendly team, and the best cooking presentation! Emily (Born on Fifth) and I brought even more fun with our table decor and spring outfitting that made for a really fun night out! We had Emily with a table styled completely by her and photographer Heidi, Chef Nealy with the cooking demonstration, me with spring staples that I styled from Ann Taylor, and gourmet snacks around the entire store!

I want to quickly highlight that you can always stop into a Sur la table to browse or get cooking tips of your own. The Northpoint store offers all kinds of cooking classes, so it’s more than just a store! Resident Chef Nealy who was our event chef that prepared the perfect and most beautiful charcuterie plate, is there to lead some really beneficial classes. Whether you need a weeknight with girlfriends, or a weekend date night, a cooking class is a really good idea because you can take away the knowledge and apply it at home (and eat good food while there!). You might have seen on my stories that I love North Point Mall, so our event had a special place in my memories! This mall is where I grew up; bought my first ‘dangly earrings’ in 4th grade there, hung out in my teens, worked my first (and many more retail) job there, take my kids there on rainy days to go play and window shop, and came full circle with Sur la table. It’s so funny because all those memories were from certain phases of my life, and now that I’m in a new one, it’s only appropriate that a new store like Sur la table (and mom life) comes to the forefront. We love cooking at home, so it opened up more of a chic kitchen world to us. I’m thinking this goes great with Robert’s love for cooking, and my well, love for eating? haha!
