Summer Sweater

You know I’m all about the summer sweater and for multiple reasons. First off, as summer in Georgia is pretty unbearable hot and humid, EVERY single place indoors is absolutely freezing. Secondly, I love pairing long sleeves or something like a lightweight sweater with denim shorts because I’m all about the long/short rule. So thus, the need for a summer sweater. And if you’re wondering what the long/short rule is, it’s when you either go long-sleeve on top if you’re wearing a short skirt or shorts, OR a tank and pants/long skirt. I’m all about that as I don’t really wear both a tank and shorts… And that is to go out to an event, date night, dressing up, etc. I obviously will be cool and comfortable if I’m just playing at the park with my kids.

A summer sweater is anything that is lightweight, chunky or large knit, and 100% cotton. It doesn’t always have to be white, but those are my favorite because they give off a crisp and clean look and always goes with anything! I am loving this Free People one, and although it’s somewhat of a splurge, I love the neckline so much. The style is a little unique and anything embroidered or knit is so cute in the summer! The jeans I’m wearing are my go-to mom jeans AND are on sale at the moment for under $35! My boots are fun and the perfect little American style shoe for summer as well. If you are going to any country concerts, these are perfect as they are a little blingy and low enough to be really comfortable! My bag is my Amazon find and will be on repeat this summer!
